As part of the Bergmarathon event, the 11th children's run will take place on the day before the "big" mountain marathon. All children and teenagers born between 2003 and 2013 (and younger) will have an opportunity to get their first "taste" of the marathon. The race will start and finish at the town hall square in Gmunden:
4 p.m. Toddler run (those born during or after 2013) covering a distance of 280 m (from the starting line to "Spar", and back again)
4.15 p.m. Mini run (those born in 2011/12) covering a distance of 500 m (to "Cafe Baumgartner" and then back again)
4.30 p.m. Children's runs (those born in 2009/10 – children's run 1; those born in 2007/08 - children's run 2) covering a distance of 1000 m (to playground and back again)

This year – as always – there will be pace-setters. Christian Pflügl, who won the Linz half marathon in 2013 and competed in the European Championships in 2014, and charity runner Fritz Kieninger have already agreed to serve in this capacity.
